I have been offered some time with Robert Vigil to meet and discuss the current state of affairs of the Auditor's office. I plan to realize that goal within the next few weeks. During my conversation with Mr. Vigil, I had the opportunity to request that in the (somewhat unlikely) event I am elected, he would stay on as an employee of the department for a period of time to facilitate the changeover. He has indicated that he will consider that, and my hope is that he will do so as it would make the transition smoother and save both time and money for the citizens of New Mexico.
