I don't want to sound fatalistic, but since no GP candidate has ever won a state office it would be foolish for me to assume that I have a chance, especially given that I have a goose-egg budget. I have been assured by people who consider themselves some of the best election consultants in the state that I will achieve my goal of getting greater than 5% and ensuring a multi-party state for the next four years. I have also been assured by those same people that I will get less than 40% of the vote. I would like to see them wrong on the latter estimate, but won't hold my breath and put my own estimate as somewhere between a snowball's and an ice cube's chance.
