I will neither accept nor spend
any money during my campaign.

I don't like the idea that candidates "run" for office. So, in order to test the theory that the voters will have more respect for a candidate who adheres to this principle, I will embody that sentiment in my own campaign.

I am simply "standing" for election. I will be available to anyone who wishes to talk to me regarding my candidacy (within reason), but I won't be accepting any donations from anyone, nor spending any money, because I think it begs the question, "Who are you then beholden to?"

One of the benefits of such an approach is a marked decrease in the amount of mailbox and roadside litter. I find the random placement of campaign material an eyesore myself, and would not want any signs with my name on them marring the landscape on the side of roads and highways.

On the other hand, I would love to see people make signs for me and put them in their front yards, and would be happy to discuss where they might procure supplies to do this with. I think it would be a wonderful way to teach children about politics while spending quality time with them. Of course, any of these pages can be printed off and handed around in keeping with the copyright notice below.
